Water is moving and you can’t stop it. Close the main valve first, then call us. We tell you how to limit the damage while you wait, find the source, and show you your repair options.
⚠ Do This First
Close the main valve. It is usually near where the water line enters the house, often in a basement, garage, utility room or crawl space. Turn it clockwise until it stops.
Open a low faucet to let remaining water drain, if it is safe to do so.
Stay out of standing water if it could reach outlets, cords or the electrical panel. If it might, shut off power at the panel only if you can reach it dry. Otherwise stay out and call an electrician or your utility.
Move valuables and lift rugs or furniture out of the wet area.
Take photos of the damage and the source for your insurance company.

If your meter sits in a pit with a metal lid, do not open it in cold weather. Opening it lets warm air out and can freeze pipes.
If you can't close the house valve, call us and Castle Rock Water.
Know The Difference
A slow drip or a damp spot is still worth fixing quickly, but it is not the same as active flooding.
Water spraying, pouring or flooding from a pipe, ceiling or wall
A burst or frozen pipe that has split
A main line break with water surfacing in the yard
A meter running fast with the house valve closed
Water near electrical outlets, the panel or the water heater
A water heater that is leaking steadily
How It Works
What you see, where the water is, whether the main is closed.
Same-day when we have an opening.
Meter and pressure check, then acoustic listening, thermal imaging and moisture mapping as needed.
Photos, the location and repair options in plain words.
We repair it, or you hire your own plumber or send the report to your insurer.
Water keeps damaging drywall, insulation, flooring and framing while it runs, and damp materials can grow mold, often within days to weeks. Every extra hour adds repair cost and raises the chance of larger damage.
Uninsulated pipes in outside walls, garages and crawl spaces freeze first. If a pipe has frozen, do not use open flame to thaw it. Close the main valve and call us. See also our Burst Pipe Repair page.
Your Leak Report
After the visit you get a written report with photos, the cause and the location of the leak. It is the record your insurance company will want, and a record you can show Castle Rock Water if you ask about a bill adjustment. We cannot promise a credit.
We keep emergency work affordable and give you the price for each repair option before work starts, even when the call is urgent.
